About RedNotebook
RedNotebook is a desktop journal for writing and organizing daily entries. It keeps everything offline on your own device, with tools to format, tag, and search your entries and to add pictures and links.
Entries can be built from customizable templates and checked with the optional spell checker. When you want to take a journal elsewhere, you can export it to plain text, HTML, Latex, or PDF.
RedNotebook is a GTK application that runs on Linux, Windows, and macOS, with ready-made installers for Linux and Windows. The code is published under GPLv2+, but because it bundles LGPLv3+ code, the resulting work is licensed under GPLv3+.
