About Focalboard
Focalboard is an open source, multilingual, self-hosted project management tool for organizing and tracking work across individuals and teams. It offers a Trello, Notion, and Asana alternative for people who want to manage tasks and projects in a tool they can run themselves.
It comes in two editions. Personal Desktop is a standalone single-user app for macOS, Windows, and Linux. Personal Server is a standalone multi-user server for development and personal use, and the desktop build packages the server to run locally against SQLite. Docker images are also available.
The standalone Focalboard project is currently not maintained. The Mattermost plugin lives in a separate project. Focalboard is under the Mattermost community umbrella, and the standalone server can be run on your own hardware or in Docker.
