Outline is a fast, collaborative knowledge base and wiki for teams, built with React and Node.js. It gives a team one organized home for documentation instead of scattered docs, with a blazing-fast editor that loads documents and runs search in milliseconds.

The Markdown editor supports slash commands and interactive embeds, and teammates write together in realtime with comments and threads. Workspace-wide search answers questions about your documents with AI, and read and write permissions, user groups, guest users, and public links control who sees what.

Outline connects to Slack, Figma, Loom, and 20-plus other tools through built-in integrations and an open API, and the interface is translated into 20 languages with RTL support. The same codebase powers the hosted service at getoutline.com and self-managed installs, so teams can move to their own servers. Outline is licensed under BSL 1.1.
