About Heimer
Heimer is a desktop application for creating mind maps, diagrams, and note-taking layouts. It is written in Qt and targets Linux and Windows, with an easy-to-use interface for arranging nodes and labels.
It offers an adjustable grid, automatic layout optimization, autoload and autosave, full undo and redo, zoom controls, and quick entry of node text and edge labels. Maps save and load in XML-based .ALZ files, and you can export to PNG or SVG. The interface ships in nine languages, including English, French, German, Spanish, and Chinese.
Heimer is licensed under GNU GPLv3. Pre-built packages cover Snap, Debian packages for Ubuntu and Debian, AppImage, and a Windows installer or ZIP archive, so it installs cleanly across common Linux distributions and Windows.
