Fluent Bit

Fluent Bit is a lightweight telemetry agent for collecting, processing, and forwarding logs, metrics, and traces from any source to any destination. It is built for Linux, Windows, macOS, BSD, and embedded environments, and is designed to use minimal CPU and memory.

It uses a modular pipeline with 70+ built-in plugins for inputs, filters, and outputs. SQL stream processing can transform data with SQL queries, and built-in TLS and SSL support plus async I/O handle secure networking. It can expose internal metrics over HTTP and Prometheus.

Fluent Bit is part of the graduated Fluentd ecosystem and a CNCF project. It follows a fast release cycle with major releases every 3-4 months. Installation options include Linux packages, Docker images, and Windows binaries, and it can be built from source.
