About XWiki

XWiki is an open source enterprise and application wiki. It is a generic platform that offers runtime services for applications built on top of it, so a team gets a shared knowledge base and a foundation for custom wiki-based applications in one system.

Pages are edited in a WYSIWYG editor with real-time collaborative editing, full version history, comments, and annotations. Using structured data and in-page scripting, you can build forms and applications directly inside the wiki, without a separate development stack.

An Extension Manager installs and updates extensions at runtime, and rights management controls access at fine granularity. Content can be exported to PDF and office formats imported, with notifications keeping users aware of changes. XWiki runs on Java and is self-hosted.
