About Wings 3D
Wings 3D is an advanced subdivision modeler for creating and editing 3D models, inspired by the Nendo and Mirai modelers from Izware. It centers on subdivision surface workflows, letting you start from simple shapes and refine them into smooth, detailed geometry.
The interface is built around a context-sensitive approach to selecting and editing vertices, edges, and faces. Drawing on its Nendo lineage, it favors a focused modeling experience over a full animation or rendering suite.
Wings 3D renders through OpenGL and requires a working OpenGL driver; there is no DirectX version. It runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux, and is written in Erlang.
