About vokoscreenNG
vokoscreenNG is a screencast creator for Windows and Linux that records the screen, a selected area, or a window. It also supports audio from multiple sources and built-in camera support, so you can capture screen activity and webcam video in one recording.
Recording tools include a systray, magnifying glass, countdown, timer, Showclick, and Halo support. On Linux, window capture is limited to Linux and the app uses Qt6, pulseaudio, libwayland-client0, and gstreamer. Wayland support requires pipewire, gstreamer-plugin-pipewire, and xdg-desktop-portal.
vokoscreenNG is GPL-2.0 licensed and ships as Windows and Linux packages, with Linux builds available for Debian, Fedora, openSUSE, Ubuntu, Arch Linux, and NixOS. It is available in many interface languages. On Wayland it relies on pipewire, the gstreamer pipewire plugin, and xdg-desktop-portal to capture the screen.
