About SMPlayer
SMPlayer is a free media player for Windows, Linux, and macOS. It ships with built-in codecs that play virtually all audio and video formats, so there is nothing extra to install before pressing play. It is a front-end built on the mpv and MPlayer engines.
A standout feature is that it remembers the settings of every file you play, so you can pick up exactly where you left off, at the same volume, audio track, and subtitles. It can also find and download subtitles automatically and play YouTube videos.
The interface supports skins and themes for a customizable look. SMPlayer runs entirely on your own machine and is released under the GPL 2 license.
