About ScreenToGif
ScreenToGif records a selected area of your screen, live webcam feed, or live drawings from a sketchboard, then lets you edit and save the result as an animation or image file. It is aimed at turning short captures into shareable output without leaving the app.
It can save to GIF, APNG, video, PSD, or PNG, and its built-in editor lets you trim frames, adjust timing, and add overlays before exporting. The app runs on Windows and requires the .NET 9 Desktop Runtime or above.
ScreenToGif is a free, MS-PL licensed Windows app distributed from its website and also through Chocolatey, FOSSHUB, and the Microsoft Store. It is localized into many languages and keeps the full capture, edit, and export workflow inside a single application.
