About PhotoPrism
PhotoPrism is an AI-powered photos app for organizing and browsing pictures and videos. It is built to run at home, on a private server, or in the cloud, and gives you a web-based way to keep your library accessible without relying on a single hosted service.
It can browse RAW images and video formats, use search filters across many properties, automatically label pictures based on content and location, recognize faces, and show Live Photos. It also extracts and merges metadata from Exif, XMP, and other sources, supports geocoding and world maps, and can connect through compatible apps and WebDAV clients.
PhotoPrism is self-funded and independent, with a self-hosted community edition and regular updates. It is available for Mac, Linux, and Windows, runs with Docker, and also offers multi-arch images plus tar.gz packages. The product is designed so your data stays under your control unless you choose to upload it to other services.
