About Peppermint
Peppermint is an open source ticket management system for help desks and service desks. It is built to manage internal staff and customer requests through a simple, logical workflow, positioned as a leaner alternative to Zendesk and Jira.
Agents create tickets in a markdown editor with file uploads, and each ticket keeps a log of client history. A markdown based notebook with todo lists sits alongside the queue for personal notes and tasks. The interface stays responsive from mobile screens up to 4k displays.
Peppermint self-hosts on your own server and runs through Docker or pm2, with a Docker Compose setup and one-line installers for Ubuntu and Debian. PostgreSQL backs the data, and the project aims to cover what larger paid help desks offer at a lower cost.
