About MarkText
MarkText is a free, open-source Markdown editor for Linux, macOS, and Windows. It is built for speed and usability, with a simple interface for writing and editing Markdown without leaving the keyboard.
It offers realtime preview, CommonMark support, GitHub Flavored Markdown support, and selective Pandoc Markdown support. Markdown extensions include KaTeX math expressions, front matter, and emojis. Paragraph and inline style shortcuts speed up writing, and finished documents export to HTML and PDF.
MarkText runs in Source Code, Typewriter, and Focus modes, and ships with built-in themes such as Cadmium Light and Material Dark. Images can be pasted straight from the clipboard. Created by Jocs and contributors, it is released under the MIT license with desktop installers for Linux, macOS, and Windows.
