About FreeScout
FreeScout is a lightweight, self-hosted help desk and shared inbox built with PHP and the Laravel framework. It is aimed at teams that want a Zendesk or Help Scout alternative without handing customer support data to a service they do not control.
There are no limits on users, tickets, or mailboxes. Email integration brings messages into shared mailboxes, with modern Microsoft Exchange authentication, and agents work conversations with internal notes, starring, merging, forwarding, following, and auto reply. Collision detection warns when two agents open the same conversation, and push notifications and search keep work moving.
The interface is mobile friendly, supports screen readers, and is translated into dozens of languages. FreeScout runs on MySQL, MariaDB, or PostgreSQL and installs even on shared hosting, with Android and iOS apps and official and community modules to extend it.
