About Fleet

Fleet is an open-source platform for IT and security teams that need one system to manage devices over the air. It handles MDM, patching, software deployment, and verification across the operating systems in an organization, with APIs, GitOps, webhooks, YAML, and a GUI.

It works directly with native operating system data and events, down to the bare metal. Fleet includes diagnostics for investigating end-user device errors, collecting audit evidence, reporting on hundreds of device attributes, and using CIS benchmarks for macOS and Windows.

Fleet is built on osquery and collects only the data needed to manage and secure devices, not private activity such as keystrokes, emails, or webcams. It runs in production at organizations managing thousands of devices, with deployments that support tens of thousands of hosts and some that manage 400,000 or more. The free version is available under the MIT license, alongside a paid commercial tier.
