About Audacious
Audacious is a lightweight audio player focused on high audio quality and low resource usage. It plays a wide range of formats through a modular plugin system and runs on Linux, macOS, and Windows.
Choose between GTK, Qt, and Winamp interfaces, the last supporting Winamp 2 skins. It offers advanced playlist management, a built-in equalizer, audio effects, visualizations, ReplayGain, and gapless playback. Plugins decode formats like MP3, FLAC, Ogg Vorbis, and Opus, and handle output, playlists, and streaming.
Playback can be controlled at runtime, over MPRIS, or from the command line with audtool. Album cover, lyrics, file browser, and visualization plugins can dock into the main window for a customizable layout.
