About Xibo

Xibo is a self-hosted digital signage platform for running a network of screens or a single display. A web content management system is the hub: you build and schedule content there, then publish it out to the display players that show it on each screen, so the whole signage estate is managed from one place.

The display player is Windows software, with commercial player options available for Android, LG webOS, and Samsung Tizen. You host the CMS yourself, with official releases installed via Docker. The same Docker containers used in development carry through to end-user installation, keeping the setup consistent.

Xibo had its first open source release in 2009 and is free software under the GNU Affero General Public License v3 or later. The core platform stays open source and free to run, while Xibo Signage offers commercial CMS hosting and support for anyone who wants it.
