About Vorta
Vorta is a desktop GUI for BorgBackup, the deduplicating backup tool. It runs on macOS and Linux and wraps Borg's command-line engine in a Qt interface, so Borg still does the actual encryption, deduplication, and compression.
Backups are organized into profiles that group source folders, destinations, and schedules. Destinations can be local drives, your own server, or BorgBase, a hosting service for Borg. A single view lists point-in-time archives, and individual files can be restored from any of them.
Vorta is built on PyQt and Qt and licensed under GPLv3. It works wherever both Qt and Borg run, including Ubuntu, Debian, Fedora, and Arch Linux. Windows is not supported, because Borg does not run on it.
