About Tenacity
Tenacity is an easy-to-use multi-track audio editor and recorder for Windows, macOS, and Linux. Built on Audacity, it gives you recording, editing, import, and export tools for working with audio on your own machine.
You can record from real or virtual audio devices, edit at arbitrary sampling rates on a multi-track timeline, and work with audio up to 32-bit float. Import and export cover many formats and extend through FFmpeg, with Matroska handled natively. Plugins include VST, LV2, and AU, and scripting runs through Nyquist or named pipes.
Tenacity began as an Audacity fork over privacy, CLA, and telemetry concerns. It strips out error reporting and update checks, adds its own themes and fixes, and is free and open-source under GPL v2 or later.
