About Stringer
Stringer is a self-hosted RSS reader for people who want a simple feed inbox on infrastructure they control. It has no external dependencies, no social recommendations or sharing, and no machine learning features.
It is a Ruby app built with Rails, PostgreSQL, Hotwire, and GoodJob, with built-in keyboard shortcuts for fast triage.
Stringer is designed for self-hosted use rather than a hosted service: deploy it on Heroku, a Ruby-compatible Linux VPS, Docker, or OpenShift. The interface is translated into several languages.
