About Shotcut
Shotcut is a free video editor for Windows, macOS, and Linux. It handles full multitrack editing and export on the desktop, with no subscription or proprietary lock-in.
Built on the MLT framework and FFmpeg, it reads and writes a wide range of audio and video formats natively, so footage can be edited without importing or transcoding first. A multitrack timeline, Frei0r video filters, and audio effects cover everyday editing, color, and finishing.
Shotcut runs entirely on your own machine and is released under the GPLv3 license. Binaries are available for all three desktop platforms.
