About SearXNG
SearXNG is a free internet metasearch engine that aggregates results from many search services and databases into a single page. It is built for privacy: users are neither tracked nor profiled, and no search history is shared with the upstream engines.
Because it queries other engines rather than crawling and indexing the web itself, it has no search index of its own. Administrators choose which engines to query and tune ranking, categories, and presentation through configuration.
Written in Python, SearXNG is meant to be self-hosted on hardware you control, so you run your own private search front end. It is open source under the AGPL-3.0-or-later license.
