About OpenLMIS
OpenLMIS is an open source electronic logistics management information system for managing health commodity supply chains. Built for the last mile of public health distribution, it covers tasks such as requisitions, approvals, and tracking stock for facilities and programs.
The platform follows a microservices architecture, with server-side services, supporting infrastructure, and browser-facing UI modules published as Docker images. This repository is the OpenLMIS v3+ Reference Distribution: a Docker Compose template that pulls those official images together into a running application and serves as the recommended layout for a deployment.
A deployment is configured through environment files for host, base URL, ports, and service versions, with optional demo and performance datasets for evaluation. It suits health ministries and partner organizations running supply chains in low-connectivity settings; full documentation is published separately on readthedocs.io.
