About OpenCut
OpenCut is a free and open source video editor that runs directly in your browser at opencut.app, with no install, account, or watermark. It is a privacy-friendly alternative to CapCut for everyday editing.
It offers timeline-based editing for trimming, arranging, and combining clips, so you can put together a video without uploading footage to a proprietary cloud service.
A full rewrite is underway aiming for a shared core across browser, desktop, and mobile, plus a plugin system and automation. The current classic editor remains available today, and the project is released under the MIT license.
