About NetNewsWire
NetNewsWire is a free and open source RSS reader for Mac, iPhone, and iPad. It shows articles from your favorite blogs and news sites and keeps track of what you have read, so following the web does not depend on social feeds and their algorithms. The app is native to Apple platforms - fast, stable, and accessible.
Feeds can be downloaded directly or synced through iCloud, Feedbin, Feedly, BazQux, Inoreader, NewsBlur, The Old Reader, and FreshRSS, with multiple accounts side by side. Reading comes with a Reader view, customizable article themes, Dark Mode, starred articles, All Unread and Today smart feeds, folders, search, and OPML import and export. A Safari extension makes adding feeds easy.
On the Mac, NetNewsWire adds single-key keyboard shortcuts, a customizable toolbar, multiple windows, and AppleScript support. The app is MIT-licensed and developed in the open by Ranchero Software, with releases for macOS 15 and newer and iOS 26 and newer.
