About Monero GUI
Monero GUI is the official desktop wallet for Monero, a private, secure, untraceable cryptocurrency. It is non-custodial, so you control your funds directly and keep the wallet on your own device.
Monero transactions use ring signatures to keep senders and amounts private and untraceable on the blockchain. Wallet files are encrypted with a passphrase, and each wallet has a 25-word mnemonic seed shown once for backup.
Maintained by The Monero Project, the wallet runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux, with an experimental Android build, and is available through Flatpak, Homebrew, and distribution packages.
