LMMS

LMMS is a cross-platform digital audio workstation for music production. It is built for composing songs, programming beats and patterns, and mixing tracks without a proprietary studio app.

It includes a Song Editor, Pattern Editor, Piano Roll, and a Mixer with unlimited channels and arbitrary effects. More than 15 synthesizer plugins ship by default, and it supports VST2, SoundFont2, LADSPA, LV2, and GUS Patches, plus full MIDI with file import and export.

LMMS runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux and is free and open-source under GPL v2. It is a community project with demo songs and shared presets available online.
