About Kodi
Kodi is a free and open source media player and entertainment hub for digital media. It runs as a native app on Android, Linux, macOS, iOS, and Windows, and is built to feel at home on a big-screen TV with a remote as the heart of a home theater PC.
It plays most popular audio and video formats and was designed for network playback, so media can stream from elsewhere in the house or directly from the internet. It scans your collection into a rich library with box covers, descriptions, and fanart, and adds playlists, slideshows, weather, audio visualizations, skins, and add-ons.
Kodi was created in 2003 and is a non-profit project run by the XBMC Foundation and built by volunteers. It is available in more than 70 languages and is licensed under GPLv2.
