About GNOME Web
GNOME Web, codenamed Epiphany, is the GNOME desktop's web browser for Linux. It is built around the web alone rather than mail, file management, or instant messaging, following the GNOME Human Interface Guidelines for a clean, approachable interface.
GNOME Web renders pages with the WebKit engine and is guided by three principles: simplicity, standards compliance, and software freedom. It keeps preferences deliberately minimal while still including a web inspector for developers.
GNOME Web integrates tightly with the GNOME desktop and works on similar environments such as elementary OS. It is free software, distributed as a Flatpak with a stable build on Flathub and a Technology Preview channel for testing newer releases.
