About Gladys Assistant
Gladys Assistant is an open-source smart home assistant for running home automation locally. It is meant for people setting up a smart home on their own hardware, including a mini-PC, a NAS, or a Raspberry Pi, with a privacy-first approach.
A single dashboard shows temperature, cameras, and presence, and automations run without writing code. Voice control works through Telegram, Google Home, Alexa, or Siri, and integrations cover Zigbee, Matter, MQTT, and devices from Shelly, Sonos, and Somfy. It can be installed locally with Docker or Docker Compose.
Gladys Assistant is licensed under Apache 2.0, and all data stays on the local machine with no cloud requirement. It is designed for self-hosted use, with local deployment on personal hardware rather than a hosted service.
