About Friendica
Friendica is a platform for decentralized social communication. It connects people through a federated network of thousands of servers in the Fediverse and can also receive content from Tumblr, WordPress, and RSS. It is built for open social networking rather than a single provider.
It can interact with people on Friendica, Mastodon, Lemmy, Diaspora, Misskey, Peertube, Pixelfed, and Pleroma. It also lets you import and mirror content with add-ons such as ITTT and Buffer, while giving you control over the privacy scope of your content.
Through various protocols, an account reaches anyone across the wider federated social web, keeping you free from data-harvesting corporations and independent of any single provider. You can join a public Friendica server or run your own self-hosted instance.
