About Daedalus
Daedalus is a full-node desktop wallet for ada, the cryptocurrency of the Cardano blockchain. It downloads a full copy of the blockchain and independently validates every transaction, so it works without trusting centrally hosted third-party servers.
It runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux and uses a hierarchical deterministic (HD) design, so you can manage any number of wallets and back them up with recovery phrases. Hardware wallets are supported, and it works with Cardano's stake-pool ecosystem.
Built on Electron, Daedalus connects to mainnet plus the preprod and preview testnets, includes a news feed and themes, and is distributed under the Apache 2.0 license by Input Output.
