About Bahmni
Bahmni is an open source EMR and hospital information system for clinics, hospitals, NGOs, and governments working in low-resource settings. It combines several established open source products into one solution rather than building from scratch.
It uses OpenMRS for electronic medical records and patient management, OpenERP for inventory, billing, and financial accounting, OpenELIS for laboratory management, and DICOM and PACS for imaging. Modules cover registration, clinical services, laboratory, inpatient management, stock management, billing and accounting, reporting, and SNOMED CT support.
This repository holds bahmni-core, the OpenMRS module that provides core services for Bahmni along with ERP and ELIS Atom Feed clients. It is built from source with a JDK and Ruby toolchain and deployed into the OpenMRS modules directory. Bahmni reports use across 50+ countries.
