AdGuard Home

AdGuard Home is a free, open source DNS server that blocks ads and trackers across an entire network. Because it works at the DNS level, it covers every device on the network without any client-side software, including phones, smart TVs, and other gadgets where traditional ad blockers cannot be installed.

It reroutes tracking domains to a black hole, stopping devices from ever connecting to those servers. You choose exactly what is blocked or allowed, monitor network activity, and add custom filtering rules. It also handles encrypted DNS over HTTPS, TLS, and QUIC, and can run as a DNS-over-HTTPS or DNS-over-TLS server itself.

AdGuard Home shares code with the public AdGuard DNS service, but running your own instance keeps you in full control. It installs through an automated script on Linux, macOS, FreeBSD, and OpenBSD, the official Docker image, or the Snap Store on Linux.
